Summerland Platform Schedule for November 26 and Coming Events

Dear Members,
Here is this week's schedule. You are getting this note as
there was a suggestion for an email to be sent weekly,
advising members who will be serving on the platform.
Also included is a list of upcoming events. Hope that this
is helpful to you!

Our landlord, FREE, informed us that they will be
taking back the space in which we hold our
services, workshops, and classes starting January
2018. Frank checked the lease arrangements and
a month's notice of termination is all that is required
on FREE's part.
We need your help in finding another sanctuary space
for us to rent. Please put out your feelers, look
for a suitable space, and make calls. We need to
rent for Sunday mornings and afternoons, and a
weeknight, preferably Thursday nights, for 2 hours.
Storage space for our stereo, hymnals, etc., is also
desirable.
Email me if you find a lead or if anything comes
to mind. We are praying that a wonderful space will
become available soon that will exceed our needs
and that will enable our church to grow and flourish!

Saturday November 18
New Moon in Scorpio

The Moon in Scorpio is, according to traditional astrology, in its fall.
Nighttime of the astrological cycle.
The energies at this Moon can therefore feel quite uncomfortable
and edgy.
This is in part due to the time of the year, when the Sun is falling
into the underworld before its resurrection after Solstice.
The New Moon falls in the constellation of the wounded healer
Chiron. Our childhood wounds are reopened and exposed to the
elements. However, this is essential as it is the air that helps to dry out
toxins.
The autumn leaves have dried up and fallen. We are in the void between
Samhain and Yule. It is time to weep away the leaves and burn them on
the bonfire, allowing for the new to enter. An open wound reawakened is an
opportunity to consciously help ourselves through a difficult passage.
To help ourselves learn a new strategy. A new response. A new way of
working through this reality.
