This year’s September full Moon is special as it will be covered by Earth’s shadow, creating a striking red Moon, also known as a “Blood Moon.” While much of North America will not be able to witness it, we will still feel its presence bringing destined situations into our lives. This powerful lunation may have a ripple effect until October 7, 2025 (the day after the Full Harvest Moon). September’s Full Corn Moon will reach peak illumination in Pisces (15 degrees) on September 7, 2025 at 2:09 p.m. EST. Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, symbolizes “the end before the beginning,” and aligns with karma, privacy, mental health, spirituality, and undoing. ------------------------------------- Summerland Bereavement Notice ------------------------------------- Our friend, the Rev. Lelia Cutler, from the Memorial Spiritualist Church in Norfolk, Virginia, transitioned to spirit on Wednesday, August 20 after a prolonged illness. She was a Spiritualist for more than 60 years. Her gifts included lecturing, teaching, clairvoyant mediumship, and singing. She was the President of the NSAC for 9 years and was a member of the Board of the NSAC for 19 years, including as the position of Treasurer. Lelia was also graded correspondence lessons for the Morris Pratt Institute for many years. Lelia served our church a number of times, offering Spiritual Addresses, mediumship, and workshops. Her big smile and easy-going humor were part of her beautiful nature. She put her full, inspiring self into her teaching and mentoring. She called herself the “Mouth from the South” and had a hearty laugh and beautiful singing voice. She will be missed by many, many people who were touched by her kindness and vast knowledge of Spiritualism and life.
