The Taurus New Moon holds a grounding vibration, allowing us to rebalance our being and reconnect to a state of ease. We have been through much since the last lunar cycle and now we are given a moment to pause. While this pause will give us a chance to center ourselves, there is also some high-powered energy flowing through at the time of this New Moon, activating our Solar Plexus Chakra and inviting us to reconnect with our power. Jupiter and Pluto will both be at zero degrees of their respective zodiac signs under this New Moon. Jupiter will be in Taurus, and Pluto will be in Aquarius. This is a very powerful dynamic of energy coursing through the cosmic skies that will be heightened by the New Moon energies. Zero is considered a highly karmic degree of the zodiac and indicates coming to that zero-point state. This is the state of neutrality where nothing is dark, and nothing is light. Frank Kotowski started a new class called "Meditation and Messages." This is similar to a class we had in person in Hauppauge called "M & M," but "Meditation and Messages" will occur on the second Tuesday of the month, each month, from 7:30 to 8:45 pm. A 20-30 minute meditation will be followed by 45 minutes of spirit messages. All guests can give messages, as in a Message Circle, under the guidance of Frank. The next class will be on Tuesday, June 13. If there is time at the end of each class, there will be a discussion on topics related to Spiritualism and Spirituality. Please email our church in advance before each class for the Zoom link.. The cost is $10 per person. Two In-Person SCOL Services a Month Now: Our church is having two hybrid services (services that are in-person at UUFSB and also live-streamed on Zoom) a month now. They are usually on the first and third Saturdays of the month, but this may not always be the case. Our next Hybrid services will be on May 20 and June 3. If anything changes concerning our in-person services, we will let you know. At this point, we are not requiring you to wear a mask but you may certainly do so. (Health protocols may change due to changing NY state and UUFSB mandates.) The room for our services in the Religious Education wing has two portable air-purifying systems that will be used during the time we are there. We require a minimum of four people to attend (not counting the platform workers and helpers). Please let us know if you can commit to coming, and how often, to our hybrid services. Also, we are looking for more people to serve at our hybrid services. If you have an interest in offering a Spiritual Address, offering a guided meditation, or being a greeter, please let us know in an email. For our Mediumship Class on Thursday, May 4, at 7:30 pm on Zoom, we will work with the movie “Wizard of Oz.” Mediums will touch in with loved ones in spirit of their partners and use the characters of Dorothy, the Wizard, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion after they’ve realized who they really are.
