If you have your own blindfold, eye mask, or something else to block out your vision (like a head band), bring it to class. I have some blindfolds for those without one. Blindfolds forces us to work with those in spirit without getting any visual cues from the sitters we are reading for.

International Homeless Animals' Day 
On August 21, pet organizations around the world will come together to raise awareness about the plight of homeless animals. Since the International Society for Animal Rights (ISAR) https://isaronline.org/nsite/ introduced the concept in 1992, International Homeless Animals Day observances have helped shed light on ways to curb animal overpopulation and improve the plight of homeless dogs, cats and other pet animals. In honor of the day, held on the third Saturday of August every year. On August 22, 2021, we have the second Aquarius Full Moon of the year. The first Aquarius Full Moon was last month and can be seen as the entrance point to this energy, and this second Aquarius Full Moon in August can be seen as the exit point to this energy. Both these Full Moons are working in tandem with one another, so if something transpired under the July 23rd Full Moon that felt incomplete in some way, we may find that this August Full Moon sheds some light or allows us to release something once and for all. Prime Time for the Perseids
The Perseid meteor shower occurs every year from about July 23 to August 22, but reach their peak from late midnight August 11 to dawn August 13. The shower’s “maximum”—when the greatest number of meteors per hour fall (50 per hour)—is typically in the pre-dawn hours (when it’s still dark) of August 11, 12, or 13. It does not matter where you live in the world! Just look up! And the best news? In 2021, the Moon phases work out perfectly for dark skies! There won’t be any moonlight to ruin the Perseids’ show.
The Perseid shower is named for the constellation Perseus, which is its radiant. A radiant is the point of origin of the meteor shower, so the Perseid meteors will appear to be traveling away from the constellation Perseus in the night sky. Locating Perseus might therefore help you to see as many meteors as possible. The cards offer suggestions for exercises with the “clair” senses, including a new clair sense Janet has suggested: clairheartsense (sensing from the heart). We will start off the class with some hands-on healing (or distant healing if you are uncomfortable with giving hands-on healing). Come join us for this in-person experience.
