Photo by Aaron Burden on Unsplash. ---------------- August Supermoon in Aquarius, a Portal to Healing  The Aquarius Full Moon arrives at the top of the month on August 1st. As a lunar cycle is 29.5 days, this means we are set for another Full Moon on August 30th, a Blue Moon in the sign of Pisces. Both of these Full Moons will be Super Moons, meaning they will be closer to Earth, and we will feel their effects more strongly. While the Pisces Super Blue Moon deserves its own article, having two Full Super Moons in the same month indicates a strong pull to release, detox, let go, and walk away from all that is no longer resonant with our being. By the end of August, we are likely to find ourselves left with some empty space, whether that be physically, emotionally, or both. The Aquarius Full Moon on August 1st is the perfect entrance point to this journey of creating space. It holds a sweet, healing vibration, guiding us to gently and lovingly prepare to let go of all that is heavy. Shortly after this Full Moon reaches its peak, we will find ourselves walking into the Lionsgate Portal. The Lionsgate Portal activates on August 8, and can also bring a rise of healing energy too. Lionsgate is a portal that honors the rising of Sirius, our Spiritual Sun. As our Spiritual Sun rises, it is reborn, and we too, can feel the rebirth of our own Spirit energy under this portal. Two In-Person SCOL Services a Month Now: Our church is having two hybrid services (services that are in-person at UUFSB and also live-streamed on Zoom) a month now. They are usually on the first and third Saturdays of the month, but this may not always be the case. Our next Hybrid services will be on August 5 and 19. If anything changes concerning our in-person services, we will let you know. At this point, we are not requiring you to wear a mask but you may certainly do so. (Health protocols may change due to changing NY state and UUFSB mandates.) The room for our services in the Religious Education wing has two portable air-purifying systems that will be used during the time we are there. We require a minimum of four people to attend (not counting the platform workers and helpers). Please let us know if you can commit to coming, and how often, to our hybrid services. Also, we are looking for more people to serve at our hybrid services. If you have an interest in offering a Spiritual Address, offering a guided meditation, or being a greeter, please let us know in an email. Don’t be in a rush to finalize things this month. Instead, go with the pace of how the Universe wants you to flow. If you keep hitting brick walls, you don’t have to push through, instead, you can take a few steps back, admire the view, sit in anything that is uncomfortable, and then wait for the right next action to find you. This passive state is not powerless, in fact, it is highly empowering, and this is even doubly so when retrograde energies are flowing.
