Mediumship Development Meetup
This mediumship group is open to both SCOL members and non-members.
These classes are to help you build your intuitive and mediumistic abilities. Beginners are welcome!

*Now on Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, there is an in-person Mediumship Development class at UUFSB in East Setauket.  If you plan to come, please first let Frank know by emailing our church  by Monday night,  if possible.  Attendees should arrive by 7:20 pm so we can start promptly at 7:30 pm.
As with the Thursday night Mediumship Development Meetup, the cost for attending is $10, or $6.00 if you cannot afford $10.00.

••• (Zoom this week) TUESDAY 10/5:  FINDING LOST OBJECTS •••
Hi, everyone. This Tuesday, October 5, this Meetup will be on Zoom and Su Garrison-Terry will be directing the class. This is her description for the class:
BEFORE CLASS: Please select two easily identifiable objects and place them somewhere in your home. One common query to mediums is to locate lost objects such as a will, insurance policy, or piece of jewelry, however, mediums have used it to locate more mundane objects such as eyeglasses, keys, and cellphones.  The purpose of this class is to use our psychic and/or mediumship to locate an object in your home.  Exercises will center around locating an object hidden in your client's home. If you have a real missing object, our final group exercise will be to try to locate it. This is the link to this class:

The Summerland Board has been considering return to in-person services.   We are proceeding cautiously due to the uptick of Delta variant cases and are looking to begin a once-a-month service in the coming months.
When the date and protocol we all must follow are finalized, we will advise everyone of the date.
Keep safe, one and all.
REMINDER:  If you have not already done so, please send us your replies to the 'In-Person Survey' (emailed on Sept. 23) by October 9  at the latest.  This survey is very important for the continuance of in-person services.

Mercury Retrograde Sept 27 to Oct 18 in Libra
This is from We'Moon Lunar News and the Grace Within newsletter by Raven Moondance.
A lot of people are noticing MR. That's why our Internet provider was on the blink last week. (it gets hairy a few days before the start.)
This is a Time to Take it Slow  "Don't rush your decisions. Take time to formulate your most compassionate words. Get curious and investigate the potent and magical happenings around you. Give yourself time to contemplate the deep mysteries in your life and in the world around you. This Mercury Retrograde cycle may just be the excuse you have been looking for to take a nice long refreshing break—some alone-time." (from We'Moon Lunar News)

Five planets are presently in Retrograde--Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto and Uranus. "These retrogrades ask us not to push forward but to hold our ground, renew, garden, and review the events of the year. Take time to investigate, fix mistakes, clarify problems and fine-tune future plans." (from We'Moon 2021) Retrogrades are opportunities to re-examine, re-work and re-do various aspects of our life. It's like being given a second chance.

We all know that we cannot just continue to push, push, push forward without taking a break now and then. Well, the Universe provides us with downtimes for inner renewal time every day or two when the Moon goes into void-of-course (a rest time between signs) and also whenever a planet goes into Retrograde. When we are unaware, we may feel thwarted, frustrated or confused. Paying attention to retrogrades and moon v/c can help us flow more easily with the natural pace of life.
With so many planets in Retro and with the inward energy of the Fall, step back and notice what is coming up for you. Pay attention and do whatever is needed to acknowledge, delve into and begin to heal old issues. Libra asks us to look at our relationships--where is peace, harmony, love, connection missing? What needs to change in our beliefs, patterns, ideas and perceptions to create more love, peace and harmony in our interacts with those in our life? Mercury presently squaring Pluto may serve to bring up very old, even karmic issues. We call upon the Hindu Goddess Kali Ma--the Goddess of time, creation, preservation and destruction during Libra to assist us in breaking free and transforming old aspects of our being both personally and collectively.

When Mercury is in Retro, we move from being in the linear, logical mind to a more intuitive, higher-mind expanded consciousness. Ask for guidance in your prayers, meditation and dreams and listen...Open to new and innovative ways of living life and to your higher purpose or calling.
